BIGGER THAN BULLYING™ POSTER CONTEST

Our Bigger than Bullying Poster Contest was a huge success!  We received 50 tremendous posters from children throughout Massachusetts.  

 

The winner, a poster created by a 7 year old 2nd grader at the Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School, in Franklin Massachusetts spoke to us the moment we saw it.

Theme for Artwork:  How am I Bigger than Bullying?

It can reflect anything that shows being empowered through love, kindness, respect and acceptance of yourself and others.

• What does power from within look like and feel like to you? 
• How are you being in your power – What does it mean to “Slay the Inner Bully”?
• What are the words you use to remind yourself of your worth?
• How do you show compassion for the bully and the bullied? 
• How do you show acceptance to people who are different than you?

How were the entries judged? 
• Clear message conveyed by the text and artwork
• The poster theme listed above is addressed
• Creativity, originality, positive thought and artistic quality
• Visual clarity - easily read
• Powerful use of color
• The Release Form must be attached
• No copyrighted artwork, characters, or name brands (i.e. Coke, Pepsi) are used in the poster
The entries  will be digitally copied onto the www.benspeaks.org website and other social media.

The entries were displayed at the 4th Annual Concert to Remember on October 5, 2013 at the Medway High School, Medway, MA.
